Car
hire in Wales |

Wales
is the home of the original inhabitants of England,
the Celtic tribes who were driven out by
the hard eyed men of the Saxon and Angle tribes.
They, in their turn, were encroached on, then
invaded by the Norsemen, most famously William
the Conqueror.
The Welsh, in their fastness,
kept largely to their old ways, so it's a little
softer, a little less well organised, and extremely
nice. What slowed the invaders down, and eventually
defeated them, was the thing Wales is very good
at, vertical countryside.
So if you're driving it's worth
while giving the poor old car a breather
every now and then. . . fortunately there's just
everything to stop and have a bit of a look at,
and you'll keep the car for ever and ever, just
to get to see that one more thing. |

Car hire in UK and more . . .
|
Then there's evenings in pubs with
locals telling you tales of the Phoenecians and
Joseph of Aramathea and singing at the drop of
a hat ... well, only if they are in the mood.
The Welsh were never particularly
taken with the notion of public transport, (". . . well,
boy, if one of us owns a car, then that's public, isn't
it?") so a car is a must to experience all Wales
has to offer.
Our "Quote and Pick" booking
process will provide you with competing quotes from
all our car providers in the area you want to travel,
and then you can choose which quote suits you best.
Simply choose a region from the list
below and click on the region, or a major
city. Either way you'll get to the right page, and
then you can make a booking as you'd like it to be,
instead of the way some hire company wants it to be.
To sample Wales take your hire
car and look around the place.
These are our main Welsh car rental locations.
Pick up and drop off details will be found on your booking

How to get about the hilliest bit of the British Isles.
Taking off from Cardiff
it's a short but somewhat elevating run up to historic
Mertyr Tydfil, at the head of the Taff Valley
(from whence that "Taffy" nickname for all Welsh
people derives) and you'll be in a lovely little town
at the foot of the Brecon Beacons national park
. . .and that'll keep anyone busy for a day or two,
the beacons. After that, take your pick . . . the whole
of Wales is your oyster . . . so enjoy.
Transport won't be any problem
at all if you use our revolutionary "Quote and Pick"
system . . . simply hit the button for a quote anywhere
on these pages, fill in the form with your requirements,
then scan through the quotes from every one of our suppliers
in any given area, and pick the best one for you. We
have pick up points all over Wales, the rest of the
UK and Ireland, and with more coming on line all
the time, we'll keep you moving. |
